Middle
East hospitals, universities and medical
institutions seeking qualified, doctors,
nurses and academics are welcome to use
the WRS service.
All
WRS clients seeking international doctors
will receive a tailored advertisement detailing
minimum requirements of the accepting country.
WRS will provide initial vetting of candidates
to ensure that only suitably qualified staff
are referred.
WRS
can also offer, as required, an educational
assessment of potential candidates based
on the Health Priority Areas of the country
in which they hope to work. All candidates
are given an initial CME/CPD examination
to assess behaviours, attitudes, skills
and knowledge. If the examination shows
a deficit in a knowledge area each candidate
is given a 'study pack' to bring them up
to the mark, prior to any elimination from
the service.
Final assessment/recommendation
of each placement will be undertaken by
a trained medical educator, in this case
Emeritus Professor Neil Carson AO. Candidates
are personally interviewed to ascertain
level of professional development to meet
the evolving needs of national programs.
In addition to verifying
suitability of candidates WRS provides a
psychological assessment based on the American
Journal of Psychiatry check list. This has
been designed to isolate those doctors who
may have trouble adjusting to a different
social or religious environment. Such identified
doctors will be given specific counselling
on these issues with a view to increasing
their awareness of conditions in accepting
countries.
All placements will receive
a personal follow up service to ensure all
parties are satisfied.
